Welcome to Happily Edible After!

September 2020

I’m Shannon. Happily Edible After has been my place to share sweet and savory adventures in my kitchen since 2012. I have a culinary arts degree and worked in professional pastry kitchens including Alon's Bakery, Marriott Marquis, and Piedmont Driving Club.
From 2007 to 2020, I managed Salud Cooking School in Alpharetta, GA and had a blast teaching baking and pastry to kids and adults and developing a well-rounded cooking class curriculum for the community.
I currently work for Whole Foods Market on the specialty team, where I get to dabble in all the fun stuff....cheese, wine, beer, coffee, and chocolate!
Happily Edible After is also the name of my newly established cottage-licensed, home bakery - be on the lookout for goodies coming your way soon!

  4. Hello Mira. So glad you found Happily Edible After and thank you for the compliment. I definitely plan on posting some lovely bread and biscuit/scone recipes soon, so stay tuned. As you know, it's not the size of your kitchen that matters - it's the love that goes into your food. Are Mattie and Chloe your kitties?

    1. Mattie is our tortoise shell kitty and Chloe is our silver Tabby. Both were shelter kitties and are great family members now. Mattie keeps us entertained with her frumpy, hilarious personality & Chloe is the prissy bug patrol leader. (Should have named her 'Terminex'). We look forward to more recipes! David likes cooking too. Luckily he likes cooking what I don't and vice-versa...so no competition there. :) Mira

  10. Just reviewed your posting of kale, couscous, squash & chickpea recipe. I am inspired now - to make a folder of these simple, healthy recipes that will help us lose weight and enjoy what we are eating at the same time! This morning I read a bunch of reviews and almost signed up for one of those "meal ingredient delivery services" like Plated, Blue Apron. Decided they are too expensive with too many pitfalls. Will be visiting my favorite foodie site more often . . . (Donna)
